In the morning of July 26, 2013, Nam Duong Corporation cooperated with Tin Tuc newspaper (Vietnam News Agency) visited and gave 200 presents of XO dietary products to Chut people in Rao Tre village, Huong Lien commune, Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province.
By participating in "Supporting disadvantaged areas" program, Nam Duong Corporation wishes to share part of the difficulties with the poor people of ethnic minorities there.
There are 33 households in Rao Tre village with totally 131 people, most of whom are Chut people. Apart from being geographically isolated, Chut people in this village also face plenty of difficulties due to lack of means of production.
Chut people used to be called "Xa la vang" by French - an offensive way to talk about a ethnic group of people who are obsolete, ignorant, having a wild and isolated life deep in the forest, lacking everything, living off hunting and gathering, having no clothes, sleeping in caves, having incestuous relationship, and facing extinction, etc.
Mr. Trinh Viet Hung - Deputy General Director of Nam Duong said: “This is one of the humanitarian activities that have been carrying out by Nam Duong Corporation every year in order to share difficulties with the community and fulfill its responsibility to the society”.
With the philosophy “Business is not merely profit”, Nam Duong Corporation has sponsored many major charitable and humanitarian programs over the past years. Besides, Nam Duong Corporation has also cooperated with Association for Support of Disabled People and Orphans of Vietnam in visiting and giving presents to disabled children and orphans nationwide.
Every year, thousands of XO dietary products are given to thousands of poor children and orphans at charities nationwide in order to provide them with best nutrition sources from Korea.
The charitable activities of Nam Duong Corporation have been contributing to development of a better and more humane society.
