Following the social activities, Nam Duong Corporation sponsored the first charity walk named “Chung buoc yeu thuong – Trao niem hy vong” at Crescent Lake, Phu My Hung urban area, Ho Chi Minh City in the morning of April 06, 2014.
By participating in the event, Nam Duong Corporation wishes to connect millions of kind hearts all around the country to give encouragement and express sympathy for the disabled and orphans of Vietnam. The company hopes that there more meaningful events such as this charity will be held in order for the community to provide economic support and encouragement for unfortunate people, helping them find an opportunity to lead a better life. After the event, Nam Duong Corporation plans to keep supporting other charitable events.

The “Chung buoc yeu thuong – Trao niem hy vong” charity walk held by Association for Support of Disabled People and Orphans of Vietnam in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Television, etc. was attended by the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and representatives of Ministries, agencies, Vietnamese Fatherland Front, central associations, senior officers of Ho Chi Minh City, companies, schools, social organizations, the armed force units, and thousands of people.

This is a humanitarian event which encourages people to support the disabled and reflects the integration of disabled people into common activities of the society. Besides, the organizations and individuals participated in the walk could make donations to the fund of Association for Support of Disabled People and Orphans of Vietnam in order to enable disabled people and orphans to acquire literacy, learn a trade, and thus improve their life, etc.

The event was attended by approximately 12,000 people, 5,000 of which (including 500 disabled people and 300 orphans) walked themselves.
