On the occasion of Children day’s - June 1, on May 23, children at the kindergarten of Quang Trong commune, Thach An district, Cao Bang province was visited and given presents from “Supporting disadvantaged areas” program of Tin Tuc news and Nam Duong Corporation

Totally 800 boxes of XO milk with a total value of over VND 200 million were given by “Supporting disadvantaged areas” program, 90 boxes of which were given to children of ethnic minorities in Quan Trong commune.
Holding the small presents in his hand, Mr. Trieu Van Van, a Dao man from Po Lang village said: My house is 20 km away from the commune center. When knowing that Tin Tuc newspaper and Nam Duong Corporation will be giving presents, I and my kid Trieu Van Quang set off in the early morning. With this XO milk, I hope my kid will become healthier, grow faster, be nicer, and study better.
Residents of Quang Trong commune, which is a commune facing particularly difficulties of Thach An district, are mostly Dao, Tay, Nung people. More than 60% of households in the commune are classified as poor. Ethnic people there live mostly on agriculture and forestry. Among 90 kindergarten children from 7 campuses, the central campus has 11 classes with 44 children, most of them are from ethnic minorities.

Ms. Hoang Thi Khuyen, principal of Quang Trong kindergarten told us: Over these years, the amount of students aged 3 - 5 has increased thanks to the concern of the authorities. This is a highland commune with poor socio-economic development, life of people is still tough, and the ratio of malnourished children is still high. The support from Tin Tuc newspaper and Nam Duong Corporation today is really an encouragement to the students and teachers. I hope the parents will use the present properly and hygienically in order to improve their kids’ health.

That was the fourth time "Supporting disadvantaged areas" program of Tin Tuc newspaper reached villages in remote areas and particularly disadvantaged areas in the northern highlands where the ethnic minorities are in dire needs. Before coming to Cao Bang province, this program of Tin Tuc newspaper has given thousands of presents being XO milk to ethnic minority children in Dien Bien province, Lai Chau province, and Tuyen Quang province.
